Kyro
Kyro is four years old. He is happy and an affectionate boy who walks beautifully on the lead and loves being close to people. Yet, at the end of each day, he is still in kennels.
Imagine Kyro coming home from a walk and curling up besides you and knowing he belongs there. He has so much love to give, he just needs someone willing to give him the time and the space to settle.
Kyro would be happiest as the only dog with no cats or small animals and with someone around for most of the day.
We offer a 3 month foster placement with a view to adoption, giving Kyro and his new family time to settle and get to know one another.
Our process includes a full home check, two references, a DBS check, several careful meetings, 5 training sessions with our rescue, lifetime rescue backup from the Forget Me Not Reading Rescues.
Daisy
On the 15th of December, Forget Me Not Reading Rescues brings to you Daisy. Daisy is a 4-year-old Romanian rescue girl who has spent far too long in kennels and deserves the chance to finally settle in a home.
She came to us after her original rescue could no longer fund her kennel space. Sadly, Daisy has had a troubled and complex homing history in the UK, and we are determined to do right by her this time.
About Daisy
Romanian rescue (“Rommie”)• 4 years old• Vaccinated• Not yet neutered – we will be funding this. Has spent too long in kennels• Absolutely loves other dogs and gains confidence from them. Personality & Needs: Daisy is a typical Rommie – intelligent, independent, and not without her opinions. She will push boundaries, and those experienced with Romanian dogs will recognise this immediately.
She needs: Clear, calm leadership. Ongoing training, Consistency and structure She is not a beginner dog and is not suitable for someone new to rescue or Romanian dogs. The Home Daisy Needs is an experienced foster home, ideally with Romanian rescue experience. A Confident handler who understands boundary-testing behaviour. Other dogs in the home preferred. No children and no cats.
This foster placement is vital so Daisy can be fully assessed in a home environment after such a long time in kennels.
Our process includes a full home check, two references, a DBS check, several careful meetings, 5 training sessions with our rescue, lifetime rescue backup from the Forget Me Not Reading Rescues.

Burberry
Meet Burberry, he is a gorgeous 9 year old white West Highland terrier, who is fit, well and absolutely lovely little chap. He is currently living in Pangbourne Berkshire.
Untill 6 months ago, Burberry had lived with the same family all his life. Sadly, when they moved to Australia, they were unable to take him with them. They were heartbroken to leave their much loved little boy behind.
Burberry is currently living with another dog and enjoys meeting and walking alongside other dogs when he is out. However, we feel he would probably be happiest as an only dog in his new home, enjoying the sole attention and companionship of one special person.
He loves two walks each day, followed by all the comfort of home. Burberry needs someone who is at home for most of the time and would love a loyal little companion by their side.
At 9 years old, Burberry still has plenty of life and love to give. He deserves the security of a permanent home where he feels settled and cherished once again.

Cody
Cody is 4. and half years old and came to us under our rescue four years ago. He has been in his home ever since, deeply bonded to his owner, who has now made the decision to rehome him.
Cody is very attached to his person. Because of this, any transition into a new home must be slow, structured, and under the direction of our rescue trainer, who has worked with Cody since he was a baby. We will be fully involved in supporting his move and settling-in period.

• He has reactivity to other dogs
• He needs a confident, calm handler willing to continue training
Anyone applying for Cody must be prepared to work alongside us and commit to ongoing training and management. This is non-negotiable. Cody deserves someone who will invest in him completely.

What We’re Looking For
The perfect home for Cody would be:
• A quiet, low-traffic household
• No other dogs
• No young children
• An experienced owner who understands nervous/reactive dogs
• Someone patient, consistent, and emotionally invested
• A secure garden (rural or semi-rural would be ideal)
Cody needs someone who will help him feel safe first — the rest will come once trust is built.

Mercy
Meet Mercy, she is a gentle mastiff of approx 6 years old. She has been bread from in the past and we would love for the next chapter of her life to begin in a peaceful foster home.
Mercy has been assessed and has behaved impeccably at the kennels.
We are looking for a foster home in Reading or surrounding area with : Children over 8 years, no cats, an enclosed garden, no other dogs so Mercy can settle with someones full attention.
Forget Me Not Reading Rescues will provide full rescue backup and will arrange careful meetings to make sure the placement is right for everyone.

Mr Pickles
Meet Mr Pickles! Mr Pickles is a beautiful boy who has just turned one and is fully vaccinated. At only 9 months old he found himself in a rescue kennels when he should have been enjoying the security of a loving home.
We have very little information on his early life. When he first arrived he was nervous and struggled to trust people, particularly men.
We cannot know what lesad to those worries but we do know with patience and kindness he is making lovely progress.
Mr Pickles would benefit from a home with another suitable confident dog to offer companionship and help him feel more secure.
Any resident dogs would need carefully planned introductions to make sure they are a good match.
He needs people who will take the time to get to know him, let him approach at his own pace and understand that trust cannot be rushed. Multiple visits are essential especially with any men in the household so he can build a relationship with bis new family before moving home.
Once home he will need a calm routine, time to decompress and gentle positive training. He is still a young dog with plenty to learn and we are looking for someone willing to support his confidence and his everyday skills.

Luna
Luna is a gentle girl from Romania who is now in the care of Forget Me Not. She is currently at OEH kennels where the staff love her dearly. But kennel life is taking a toll on her. She needs a quiet place to feel safe.
The world can feel frightening for Luna. She needs time to decompress, a predictable routine and someone who understands trust cannot be rushed. We are looking for an experienced Foster-to-adopt home where she can settle with her own pace.
Luna needs a calm, adult only home with no children or cats and people experienced with fearful dogs.
Our foster-to-adopt period is 3 months and the process includes full home check, two references, a DBS check, several careful meetings with Luna and 5 training sessions with our rescue.

Tom Tom
Tom Tom is a magnificent Caucasian Shepherd mix who is currently in foster care in Goring.
This big, beautiful and incredibly cuddly boy has been waiting in foster care for more than a year—and we cannot understand why!
Tom Tom lives happily with two canine pals and is a loving, loyal member of his foster family. Typical of his breed, he forms strong bonds with his people and is naturally protective. He absolutely adores the two teenagers he currently lives with.
Tom Tom needs an experienced, confident home that understands large guardian breeds and will give him the security, boundaries and love he needs.
