Because sometimes people don't want to give up their dog - they just need a little help to keep them. 

At Forget Me Not Reading Rescues, we know that surrendering a much loved dog is not always a choice someone wants to make.

The cost of living has increased, vetinary bills can be frightening, behaviour can be become difficult, circumstances change, people become unwell, relationships break down, housing sitautions change, and sometimes life simply becomes overwhelming. 

That's why we offer our support B4 surrender service.

Before you make the heartbreaking decision to give up your dog, talk to us.

Where we have the resources avaliable, we may be abe to help with:

Dog food and essential supplies

Access to behaviour and training support

Advice on practical help with difficult situations

Support with vetinary care in genuine hardship cases.

Temporary or emergency support when circumstances suddenly change

Helping owners put a plan in place so their dogs can remain safely at home.

Signposting to other services when someone else is better placed to help.

We cannot promise we can solve every situation and our resources are limited, but we can promise to listen without judgement and explore what might be possible.

Rescue shoudn't only be about taking dogs away from people.

Sometimes the best rescue is preventing a dog from needing rescue in the first place.

Keeping a loved dog with the person they know and trust whenever it is safe and possible to do so can be the very best outcome for everyone.

Struggling doesn't mean you don't love your dog, asking for help before you reach crisis point is a responsible thing to do.
